We formed the Whidbey Island Small Business Association (WISBA) for the welfare of small businesses, so they may have a combined voice, which they would not have individually. Large businesses have a large presence and equally large budget for advertising, as well as membership or organization fees. We hope to, at an affordable price, give small and family run businesses, as well as freelancers and contractors, the voice they deserve, for we must empower them and allow them to prosper because they are the backbone and foundation of the economical stability of the community.
Folks Who Keep Things Running
Co-Founder, Event Planning Guru & Logistics Genius
I am a Navy wife and mother to a beautiful little girl Amelia. I am also the owner and sole designer for Created on 86th, a business I started 5 years ago as a hobby to spend more time with my husband. This business has blossomed into the small business it is today. My business has given me the opportunity to be a small business owner while staying at home to care for our daughter. I value the gift of both. I have recently begun another business, LuLaRoe Clothing Sales. I have been fortunate to have many supporters so my new business has grown; however, not all small business owners have access to customers so starting the association was our way to support fellow business owners!
Co-Founder, Head of Marketing & the Techie
I am a creative marketing consultant, author, website designer, creative writer, and currently serving as the farm girl who rescues animals and keeps my children constantly on their toes as I wrangle them into adventures around the farm and the planet. Besides the marketing and web design business I am also a mother of two kids, two dogs, two cats, llamas, sheep, horses, ducks, cows, chickens, geese, and assorted fish and free range furry critters. The associaton has been an opportunity to share my experience with members of the community so they can grow in their businesses and add to the foundation of the community - strength and financial stability. Call me for your personal marketing and website consultation.
